Our Mission

The Local Youth Development Office of the Municipality of Roxas commits to design and implement inclusive and sustainable youth development programs that enhance leadership, skills development, civic participation, and overall well-being of the youth, in collaboration with stakeholders, towards building a progressive and youth-driven community.

The Local Youth Development Office of the Municipality of Roxas envisions an empowered, proactive, and united youth actively engaged in community development and nation-building, embodying leadership, resilience, and social responsibility.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of the Municipality of Roxas provides the following services to support the growth and development of the youth:

  1. Youth Development Planning and Program Implementation
  2. Preparation and implementation of youth development plans, including the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) aligned with national frameworks.
  3. Support to Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and LYDC
  4. Technical assistance and coordination with SK officials and the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) in planning, budgeting, and program execution.
  5. Leadership and Skills Development Training
  6. Conduct of capacity-building activities, seminars, and workshops focused on leadership, life skills, and personal development.
  7. Youth Engagement and Participation Programs
  8. Organization of activities that promote volunteerism, civic engagement, and active participation of youth in governance and community affairs.
  9. Sports Development Programs
  10. Implementation of sports-related activities and events to promote physical wellness, teamwork, and discipline among the youth.
  11. Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns
  12. Promotion of programs related to health, environment, gender and development (GAD), education, and social responsibility.
