Detailed Information
The SAN RAFAEL Cave is the biggest cave in the province of Oriental Mindoro. Which has been considered ecologically, culturally, and historically significant. It is home to different species of bird, bats, insects and other wildlife that make-up the fragile cave-mountain ecosystem. This historical cave is said to have the about seven access points within the mountain and was used as a hiding place during World War II. The SAN RAFAEL CAVE GUIDE ASSOCIATION( SARGA) manages the cave and the Local Government of Roxas and Provincial Tourism helps in the training, promotion and marketing.
